malikguy Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Ok guys, I tried re-installing windows. Now the system reboots when windows gets to the "Detecting Devices" part of the install. Anymore ideas? I really think that this board needs to go in for service but I can't get a hold of DFI. I've tried calling and e-mailing with no reponse for the past 2 weeks or so. How do you contact DFI???? Unsterblich Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 do u use DVI Cable? if yes, try using analog VGA cable to install your windows and then along with nvidia driver + nforce driver, after that, u can use your DVI. weird maybe, but believe it or not, that's solved my problem. suedenim Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I use the 5.11 set with no problems as well as the firewall. The install is a bugger though. If I remember rightly the install tries to do all the various drivers in one big hit which really messed up my system. Install the various drivers individually (you can skip the IDE driver) with a reboot after each install. I'd also recommend creating a restore point in windows when you get it working again in case you get booting problems. If you do have to reinstall windows install the nForce drivers prior to your other drivers such as for the Graphics card, sound card etc...
