Horatio Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 I've been looking around for this and unable to find it, why is it that my board has 7-14 as multipliers and then gets into numbers like 7.5/16 and such. What do the two numbers relate too?
Guest Trios Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 (edited) I've been looking around for this and unable to find it, why is it that my board has 7-14 as multipliers and then gets into numbers like 7.5/16 and such. What do the two numbers relate too? It is my understanding that some processors use the lower numbers, while some use the higher numbers. It all depends on how your processor was set up default, and I believe it IS changable, but I think only by a physical mod on the chip. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. Trios Found it. Try this... http://www.geocities.com/trats102002/a7mwire.html Edited October 22, 2003 by Trios
Horatio Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 Sounds good... I have a 2700 and it doesn't boot on the highest options, so I'll assume its using the higher numbers.
FanATIc205 Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 yeah amd chips with a multi of 12.5 or lower can not go above 12.5 unles you mod it to 13 then you cant go lower . the board uses the same path for 2 multis depending on if its high or low
