3700+ & Dr-Expert voltages

Recommended Posts

Hi , just found the prime95 stable vcore (1.300+119%) but the problem is the other voltage options !!? The ldt voltage (1.20-1.50v) , chipset voltage (1.52--->) !!?

Ldt voltage set to 1.50v now and the chipset to 1.65v. I really dont know how high i should increase those , because i really cant see the difference !!? System is rock stable with the 1.55v vcore , but i think that those other voltages should be adjusted too ! Oh btw , the only real problem is the sata drives !! --> i have now two 300gb drives and i use o&o defrag program... every time i boot to windows or play a game for some time = the hdd:s start to fragment !!????? What should i do ? Temps now cpu:35 , pwmic:45 , chipset:39

hi alajarvi

i don´t think that there´s a reason to increase the chipset and ldt voltages at 250htt (as in ur sig)

try to leave them at stock settings as long as ur prime stable

Well , lowered to stock voltages now (ldt & chipset) boots normally , takes a little longer to boot but OK ! The SATA drives are still a problem !!? Could someone HELP please...

The hdd:delay is set to 0 , downspread:disabled , sil sataraid controller:disabled...

Hdd:s connected to sata-ports 1 & 2. Could it be a jumper problem ??? i actually havent even looked that is there jumpers on the drives :D

The O&O Defrag program is fantastic, but the (OS) drive fragments allready at the next BOOTUP !!? The storage drive fragments always when playing something !!?

EXample --> just reinstalled steam , the drive fragmentation jumped to 60% from 0% ???

Allready a 500gb barracuda & 300gb Western Digital hdd has been returned , because of the fragmentation and error cylinders..... Somethings messing up my HDD:S !?

I would remove that Defrag program. There are many others out there to choose from that will not screw you every time you try to do something.

Ok , uninstalled o&odefrag ! Im trying diskkeepper v.10 next , is that ok program ???

One question about your sig --> i noticed the 2.8ghz result and tought to ask how did you get there !!??? ive tried to hit 3ghz, but the vcore goes way beyond the line

1.650v is minimum to boot :D ive tried 280*10*3*9/10*1.300+119% too but no BOOT...

i think its the memorycontrollers timings but how did you get there ??

Oh almost forgot , what s-ata ports should i use on my mobo ??? i use the closest ones to cpu , but theres 4 ports at the bottom of the mobo too  what are those for ??

I just tought that the fragmenting of the sata drives could be because the ports !!? on a overclocked machine the sata drives could work better when a little slower if i've understanded correctly !!? Strange because the manual says only 4 sata ports , but theres 8 ports... close to cpu are 1.2.3.4 & at the bottom 5.6.7.8

OK, the diskkeeper 10 pro premium seems to bee the best solution for me

Defragments the drives properly ! At first it posted that my MTF files were too small and full "96% & 60%" :D I adjusted the MTF files from 32mb to 200mb/drive :D Still the drives fragment slowly... ?... i mean the OS drive fragments :)

The fragmented files on OS disk are most commonly "LOG" files & other temp files" Most of those located on system32 folder  Do i have a fragmentation problem or is this just normal ???

Some what normal. Good choice on programs I love Diskkepper. For the SATA ports it doesnt matter. Back with nf3 only 3/4 was locked but now they all are. You should never be using 1.65v especially on air. It probably is your memory controller holding you back so please post all of the settings in your DRAM config.

Haa... Ok lets see... 4 s-ata ports (nvidia nf4) up to 3gb/s , and then theres 4 sata ports (Sil) up to 1.5gb/s... So wich one i should use and wich one is wich :O

if im correct , the closest to cpu is nf4 chipsets sata ports and on the bottom are the sil ports !!? i dont have sata-2 drives , so should i use the sil ports ??? WUAAAH
