FanATIc205 Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 no need ill start from least perfroming to better performing. the 9800 se the lesser of the 3 you mentioned is a 9800pro that has 4 pipes disabled and is horribly slow compared to the other 2 and uses the same clock speeds also disabling the 4 pipes cuts the mem from 256bit to 128bit. each pipe is 32bit so 4x32 128 8x32 256 same . the nonpro 9800 is just a slower clocked 9800pro that usally uses 3.3 ns ram compared to the 2.8 on the pros. if you can oc a non pro to pro speeds its a 9800pro. the 980pro comes with 2.8n/s ram with a core clock of 380 and mem clock of 340. you can mod the se to become a pro but theres the chance it will checkervboard like the 9500>9700 hack. ifyour trying to save money check bestbuy and get the 9800nonpro for 239 with rebates ati quit making them because eveyone was o/c them to pro speeds and saving a hundred bucks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
