Splave Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Hey, I turn off my computer last night and turn it on this morning and it hangs at the blue screen that says windows is starting up even after a cmos clear and defaults and in safe mode. Am I screwed? Any ideas? thanks:)

Smoken Joe Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Moving to the support part of the forum. Yea was your overclock stable as in memtest and prime stable for 8 hrs? Is it stable at stock speeds? Might need to reinstall windows if not.
Guest caffeinejunkie Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Try booting in safemode and see what it hangs on.
Guest BFG Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 If booting into safemode doesn't work you can always try a repair install of windows. In order to do this, install windows like you normally would, except when it reaches the point where it scans for other operating systems instruct it to repair the OS.
