OsamaBinAthlon+ Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 would a dell 7800gtx be limited through it's BIOS or something and what is that circled in red. anyone know as far as compatibility with ultra-d
uneedav8 Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 The specs should be the same. Coolbits would reveal what the mem and core speeds. The specs should be no different from a retail 7800GTX. I think that extra length on the board was just to be extra proprietary for dell. I have a 6800 ultra for my Apple Powermac G5 that is the same length as the card in the picture you have there....it also has the metal guide on the front. That keeps everthing all nice and lined up on the case.

OsamaBinAthlon+ Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Take what off? the possible restrictions or the board in red? Never mind the extension tab is removable.
Guest Timmay Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 God, I would hate to think how much dell would charge for one of them cards.
thefabe Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 It looks like it would be easy to add a fan to blow on your chipset on that thing. What else can Dell think of to make their stuff different.
