alajarvi84 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Hi again... My wifes 3700+ Sandy is running now at 280*10*3*1.300+1.14%*9/10 So the mushkins "redlineXP4000 2gb kit" should run at 252mhz , but it runs 255mhz=510mhz... The 5mhz increase is messing up my timings  ---> Those are now 3.3.2.8.7.14.2.2.1.3.3120(3.9us).8ns.5ns.normal.16clks. 1T <--- Those were stable at 250*11*4*1.300+112%*1/1 , but now those are not  Decreased response time from fast to normal , idle cycles from 00 to 16ckls , 2.7v.... What could be wrong ? Ram makes an error at superPi test "512kb" <--- Before it was "ROCK" stable...
Praz Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Your timings look to be plenty relaxed. It's possible that the 50MHZ increase is causing problems for the cpu. Try 255x9 with the divider set 1:1 When I work out your settings of 280x10, 9:10 divider I get 254.5 so 255 would be correct.
alajarvi84 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Oh i mean 3.3.8.2.7.14.2.2.1.3.3120.16x.7x.8ns.5ns.16clks.1T With those timings passed SuperPi & prime95 9hrs <-- !!! Cpu was running at 2.75ghz "250*11*4*1.300+112%*ram/fsb 1/1" Cpu voltage is now increased from 1.300+112% to 1.300+114% and runs 2.80ghz Boots normally and temps are all "cpu, mobo, pwmic" under 30*C <-- !!! i use thermalright Si-120+delta ffb1212ehe 120mm 193cmf fan , on mobo i installed a thermalright highriser05. So the cooling cant be the problem... Should i increase the ram voltage to 2.8v "mushkin recommends" Can even a 10mhz oc on memory cause so dramatical changes  Still it can be the cpu  i have tried the folowing ------> 300*10*3*1.300+120%*5/6 = Wont BOOT  278*11*3*1.300+120%*9/10 = Wont BOOT  250*11*4*1.300+112%*1/1 = Boots & rock stable 280*10*3*1.300+114%*9/10 = Boots , but mem not stable "superPi" fails at 512kb test What you think ?? What could be the problem ? What should i do...
OldGuy Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Definitely give those redlines more voltage...
alajarvi84 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Ok i try 2.8v and return
Praz Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Try 255x9, 1:1 divider with 3x HT multiplier. That will put your memory at 255 which is where you're having problems but the cpu will be at 2295. If you still get errors it would almost have to be a memory setting. If no errors it's the processor. Definitely give those redlines more voltage... More voltage won't hurt but it shouldn't be needed. I run mine at 2.61 and only need 2.8 for 3d stability at 270.
alajarvi84 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 i tried everything... even the auto settings failed :D On auto it gave 3.3.8.2.7.16.2.2.1.3.3120(15.9us).16x.7x.9ns.7.5ns.16clks Those are so poor that it must be the cpu  is this some kind of sunday piece of shi* stepping is 2 !? it seems that this piece of 3700+ aint going higher than 2.75ghz stable... alajarvi84 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Ok back on 250*11*4*1.300+112%*2.71v 3.3.8.2.7.14.2.2.1.3.3120.16x.7x.7ns.5ns.reduce00%.00clocks... Just runned superPi 32mb test SUCCES It really seems to be that this cpu is such a piece of shi* , that its not going over 2.75ghz I have tried everything Well it ok on 2.75ghz too... Yes its Mushkin "REDLINE" XP4000 2GB kit "2x1gb" What you guys think of the timings now ? Are those OK or could i change something ? The Dram data drive strenght is now reduced 0% and the dram drive strenght is on AUTO The drive strenght is so tricky to adjust that... Auto is fine Max async latency is now 7ns "no difference between 7-8ns" !? Idle cycle limit is tricky too , its now 00clks , but 00-16clks =no difference tref 3120 is OK , 3.3.8.2.7.14.2.2.1.3 are OK , read preamble is 5ns =OK..... Praz Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Look in my sig. most of these timings also work in my Expert boards. Some of them are tighter then yours even though I'm clocked a lot higher. And a couple of the others you may be able to tighten up even more.
alajarvi84 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Ok is that like ---> Command per clock:enable Cas latency:3 Ras to cas:3 Min ras active time:0 Ras to ras delay:2 Row cycle time:7 row refresh cycle time:13 row precharge:0 write recovery:2 write to read:1 Read to write:2 refresh rate:3120 write cas latency:1clk read write queue bypass:16x bypass max:7x max async latency:9ns read preamble:6ns idle cycle:16clks ÄÄH... What are the others , and are even these right :D
