zkissane Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 I've searched on Google and the sources to the Wikipedia RAID article, but I can't find the answer. Is it possible to set up an "asymmetric" array, something like 3 disks of size X in a RAID-0 array, and one disk of size 3*X mirroring the RAID-0 array? More to the point, can the RAID controller on the DFI NF4 boards do this?
CPDMF Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 running a RAID 0+1 requires two seperate RAID0 arrays. The way you want to do it cannot be done other than using acronis or the like and ghosting the image of the array on the single disk.
