Have you done any overclocking on the card before?

Anyways, here's what I'd do. 1. Uninstall any Forceware drivers, using a registry cleaner if you have one. 2. Pull out the card, make sure it looks okay (i.e. heatsink appears to make good contact, nothing obviously scorched or blown) and reseat it into the slot. 3. Download and install latest new drivers. If you still have an older card I'd try it to make sure the same thing doesn't happen, at least narrow it down to the new card. Could try an alternate output, it probably has both VGA and DVI outputs so use an adapter if you have one. Otherwise....could he sold you a bum card. Could try underclocking 2D mode in Coolbits and see if it helps.

Austhor Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 If it's artifacting during POST, it's most propably a dodgy card. I think you're money is on the right horse.
