does switching out PSU's affect an overclock?

Recommended Posts

normaly i run my rig with an OCZ modstream 600w. but it blew up and im having a eplacement sent. for now i got a cheap 520w coolermaster PSU. am i wasting my time and efforts attaining a stable overclock over the next few weeks just to have it ripped away from me becuase i take out the temp PSU and put in my regular one?

Did it the other day and didn't hurt anything at all.

I was wondering the same thing but thought whatever  and just tried it. Worked perfectly.

cool. i really want to stick with the OCz modstream. its silent. and the one i have now is loud. plus the mod stream has those nifty screws in the back lavled with different voltges. not ppositive. but i think thats meant for over clockers or something. im gonna have to read up on them to make sur ei know what im doing before i frag something.

Ha ha ha...

Cool...a shiny screw! Pretty sure this will help me with my overclock (turns screw) BOOM!

That sounds like something I would do :shake:
