Guest thespin Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 (I am using a Dell system while I wait on an RMA for the system in my sig. The Dell has XP Pro x32 installed.) Though I have Windows Automatic Update on, for a reason that escapes my mind now I went to the Windows update website and did a search for updates. SP3 update, about 60MB, was listed as available. Why not; it's not in beta. I have been having problems since I installed it. Many times when a new IE window opens after clicking on a link, only the window frame appears and the window hangs - I can continue working though. Roxio CD writer began reporting errors even after I reinstalled it - I had to switch to Nero. SP3 is 0 for two ... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Now that Vista has collapsed under its own weight, XP is going to get neglected even more while Microsoft pulls out all the stops in an effort to put Vista back on track.
