VT Msci Guy Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Hey guys, I just bought a boatload of components, and the system will not boot. I have plugged in all 4 connectors to the motherboard, and everything "seems" to be ok connection-wise. (I read the initial build guide.) Overall, 4 LED's count down to one and then the machine appears to shut off. (Fans die) There is no image on the monitor, so I don't know what BIOS I have, etc. Now, I have no clue how to proceed. (I have 2x 1GB Dimms hooked up to the orange slots.) Also, there is a yellow LED that is on, located next to the lower yellow DIMM slot. Please help. Thank you very much for any assitance offered. VT Msci Guy Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Thank you for the advice. I did go over the build thread, and all 4 of my power connectors are in solidly. The only step I did not perform was to clear the CMOS, but I just did that (for 10 minutes) and tried to boot. Overall, the LED's make it to 1 light, but it sounds like the fans quit after it hits the second LED. I still have the same problem and am unable to boot. Are you able to offer any other suggestions? I appreciate your advice. Eric
