warzer Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 How do it do it? i got prime setup for dual core from a post here, but was following the o/c guide and it recommends i run iterations of superpi for max cpu o/c. well when i run it it only uses one core. is there a posting for setting this up with dual core ? ComeUpon Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Follow the same principle procedure. Download two different copies of SuperPi and put them in two different directories. The only difference between setting the affinity in prime and setting the affinity in SuperPi is that for SuperPi the affinity has to be set through the task manager. warzer Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 with prime i didn't need 2 folders. with superpi i need 2 folderS? ok setting the affinity in taskmgr is working. I guess adding the -A1 and -A0 does not work for superpi? War
ComeUpon Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Do you not have to have two directories for Prime95? Haha. Sorry, it's been a while since I've set up any of these things. The way I have SuperPi setup is the way I described above. I have two instances of SuperPi in two different directories. When I run both I go into the task manager and set the first instance for core 0 and the other for, you know. You can try the -A1, -A0 method, but if you get errors right away, then it's not set up corectly.
