REiGN Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 how can i check to see if i have cool n' quiet technology installed on my system. I just read on the dfi driver update site that if you plan to overclock, you shouldnt have this installed.

Guest Dynamic Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 That's right, it's not safe for your speed and voltage on your processor to go up and down like that. If you do want to install it without overclock (which probably you won't do) you have to install the drivers, enable the option for the C&Q in the BIOS, and go into your power options properties in Windows and set it to minimal power management, i think. Try it and let me know, but it's not a good idea if you're going to overclock okay....good luck!
