rkdahl Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 I wouldn't even try to debug it anymore until you get 2GB for BF2. It's almost mandatory especially after SF and 1.12. I just got my Expert up and running with the config below and BF2 runs smooth as silk. Occasional spike here and there, but nothing thats not related to a disk I/O from some top secret task that snuck up on me or usual internet lag spike once or twice an hour. I'm very happy with the way it's working compared to my old Intel 3.0 ghz, ATI 9800 Pro. Also you might check for some BF2 tips on lag here, some of these may help you: http://bf2lag.b0x.com/top5tips.html Good luck! Temujin Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 I'll have to go with rkdahl on this one. My last system: P4 3.4 @ 4.0ghz, Abit AS8, 2x512mb Patriot XBLK would still lag randomly and at the worst times in the very same games. I thought a whole gig would be enough especially with a good overclock. I put 2 gigs of G.skill in and anything that ever caused a jitter or stutter went away.
