greatscott68 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Hi - I'm a newby to this forum, and DFI, too. I've searched around the forum, and don't see an answer to my question - so here goes. I just picked up an NF4-SLI Infinity mobo + a GB of Mushkin PC4000 Redine. Does anyone know the voltage max on this board, as I believe the Redline operates at 3.3 +. I saw a bios pic when I did a google search for a review of this mobo, and the pic showed a range up to 3.2. A buddy of mine owns a LanParty UT NF4 SLI, and says that the DFI boards have a jumper setting that allows up to 4 volts on the vdimm. He has the same Redline that I picked up, and operates his at 3.6 with GREAT results. Like I said, I've searched around without finding an answer, and after seeing that review with the 3.2 pic...I don't want to go to the trouble of building the new beast...and finding out I don't have the juice to get that RAM going properly. I went with this board, because the reviews were solid + it doesn't have all the UV yellow & orange. Did I goof? Thanx for the help - and for taking the time! Prostock62 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Here you go 2.5 to 3.2 volts. It should have the jumper to allow you to 4.0 volts. http://forum.overclockersonline.com/phpBB2...ic.php?p=64436&

Prostock62 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I belive it should have the 4.0 volts jumper. You can also buy a power supply with the adjustable ports to turn up the volts.

Any idea on the location of that 4.0 volt jumper on the board? I'm looking with a flashlight, and I'm not seeing it. Thanx again! I see one to the bottom-left of the CPU socket that looks like a floppy connector. The book says 5v/12v power. Other than that, I'm not seeing anything else... The book is pretty darn vague. Prostock62 Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 I think its the jumper right behind the jack for the mouse and keyboard.I just got my nf4 sli-dr myself, learning this myself also.Dont hold me to this just yet til i have all the facts. There is a jumper to allow more volts which i thought was 4.0.The jumper moves you to 4.0 i think. I just found the info i was correct. http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NzE3LDI=

I see what you mean about the jumper behind the mouse and keyboard jacks. I'm gonna set this up outside the box, move the jumper - and see if I get the option. Thanx for the help - and cross your fingers for my uneducated butt - LOL.
Prostock62 Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 I was reading that you have to change a setting to anything but auto in the bios to enable it also. You have to have a none cpu voltage selected to enable it to work.
ooztuncer Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Dear friends, As far as I know, dagf/infinity series have the options up to 3.2 volts, and you need a booster to supply sufficient juice to ur redlines.
