Xolias Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Right now I have a set of OCZ Platinum Revision RAM (2x1GB) and I've learned that it's not very good with overclocking. So I'm looking for a good pair of 1GB RAM to get real nice overclocks. My friend tells me he is running a pair of Crucial Ballistix RAM and has his 2.2Ghz 3700+ OCed to 2.8. I'm wondering if this is a good choice or if you have any other suggestions. Also, anyone wanna buy some RAM?
sn_85 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 i dont think you'll find a better pair then the crucial z503's. at around $300 its not too bad a price either.
Xolias Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 If I don't use more than 1GB at any one time, would there be an advantages to 2GB?
Squid1 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 If I don't use more than 1GB at any one time, would there be an advantages to 2GB? Only if you have heavy disk activity. In general, few desktop things need more than a gigabyte, but some games now start to want it.
