larryz28 Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 I am in the process of building a new computer. Specs in signature. I got it all together and it would not even post. It makes no beeping and does not display anything on the screen. I rechecked Ram, cpu, jumpers, cleared the CMOS. Finally I took the old ATI video card out of the computer I am using now. Put it in the DFI and had no trouble getting to post and entering BIOS. I Changed AGP size to 256 for the ChainTech Geforce 6600. After reinstalling the Geforce, I had the same trouble. Does anyone know if there is an issue with Geforce and DFI board?
Cyberparasite Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 have you tried the gf6600 in another board?
DevilDriver Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 My guess is a problem with the vid card since you can get your machine to post with a dif one. If the 6600 has a 4pin molex connector do you have it pluged in?
larryz28 Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Hi, Thanks for your suggestions. I do have the 4wire molex connected to the back of it. I will try it in the computer I am using tonight. Oddly, I didn't think of that yesterday?
