Nubius Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I just installed the drivers/control panel for the onboard sound from the drivers CD, because frankly it's better than me crappy PCI Sound card I have.. One thing I'm a bit disappointed in the control panel is that it's lacking faders. Is there an updated sound control panel where theres faders for left and right and front to back? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Nubius Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 I just installed the normal chipset drivers ya know where it lists the ethernet, sound, ide, blah blah blah, then after those were installed went to the 'audio' button on the CD and it installed the "Realtek AC97 Sound drivers" and the program called 'AvRack'
Sharp Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 Hello, Uninstall the realtek drivers + AVrack. When you install the nvidia chipset drivers, it has some Audio drivers with a better mixer. Uninstall your chipset drivers and install these new ones. http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_wi...2_amd_6.66.html Then restart and you wll have the nvidia audio driver + mixer. Nubius Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 The 6.66 are indeed better...thanks again for that (for whatever weird reason though, after uninstalling previous chipset drivers windows wouldn't boot due to pci.sys missing, but I repaired windows and all is good now)
