It didn't so i went higher, higher and higher, the computer continued at 700 and stayed stable. I don't understand, i want to get it to 850 or so... Guest FreakyDrOverclock Posted November 12, 2001 Posted November 12, 2001 that's a really old story... close the l1-bridges on your cpu with a hard pencil check for some older posts in this forum...somewhere it's described very neat
bass_freak Posted November 13, 2001 Posted November 13, 2001 ok, thought you only had to do that with athlons...thanks
bass_freak Posted November 13, 2001 Posted November 13, 2001 I looked over the board for a bit, then tried a few diffrent sites. I know how to do a athlon cpu now, but still haven't found a page or post to help me it with the duron...
bass_freak Posted November 13, 2001 Posted November 13, 2001 Okay, did the pencil trick, still can't over clock tho, did all the L1 and the 4th down on the L7. I set the multipler to 7.5 with a 100mhz bus and it won't increase. I don't know what i am doing wrong here, i watched the video on overclockersclub.com site and showed me what to do.. Guest FreakyDrOverclock Posted November 14, 2001 Posted November 14, 2001 sounds weird i've go a duron [email protected] with the pencil-trick... look at your mods very closely 1) are the bridges closed correctly (better do a thicker line) 2) have you any short-circuits (like l1:1 to l1:2 or so)
