  1. Yes, I have run Prime and it is fine for 24 Hours. Yes I have all 4 power connections plugged in. I have now disabled standby and hibernation, and will see if everything runs ok.
  2. Hi ya'all. I am just dying for a GOOD sword fighting game, and wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions. Also, have ya'all seen the trailers for Assassins Creed, but UBIsoft WOW, that is going to be a crazy game. ANyways, ya..if anyone knows of a good swordfighting game (or a games that has some sword play in it)that is more then just hit points vrs hit points, but requires some skill and tactics, I would like to know about it....Thanks
  3. Weird, I just RMA'd my first ULTRA-D because of a ram voltage issue, but it hibernated perfectly, and came out of standby as well, without any problems. Now the new board I recieved has no ram voltage issues, and runs great, but blue screens when I hibernate, and crashes after resuming out of standby. I never realized that it was such an issue. All my other boards have happend to work well, so I just thought it was a stable feature. Thanks for your help...
  4. Eh, maybe..., but I dont think microsoft controls the voltages and fans on my board. I have 4 other computers (Asus MSI ECS) running right beside this one, and they have all worked flawlessly for several years now. Oh well, cant win em all....besides, the rest of this board rocks, so who cares...as long as I know the problem, its all good.,!!
  5. Ya, I just found another post that I missed before, saying that standby and hibernation may not work as expected on this board. I will disable it and see If I have any other problems. I dont even mind that this stuff doesnt work, It would just be nice if there was some kind of warning on the board or MB box, cause it kind of sucks to have lost my opperating system before I find out there may be a resumehibernation problem. Anyways, thanks for your help.
  6. I am having a problem, and I would like some help. I will try to explain it as good as I can. Basically its like this. My system is set to go into standby after 2 hours. After the system goes into standby, I bring it back online and begin to use the computer. After about 3-5 minutes, the computer will do an instant power off in the middle of whatever I am doing. (mostly loading a game) This has happend 4 times now. Once I lost my opperating system, and had to re-install, the other times I was able to recover it. I have flashed to a new bios version now, and hopefully this will not happend again, but I am not convinced. I have USB Keyboard and mouse, and have USB keyboard support enabled in the bios, because otherwise I cannot move around in the menu of the CD-bios update screen, and have heard that there may be problems with having this enabled. Also, I have an idea I am going to test tonight after work. I am wondering if maybe my CPU fan is not coming out of standby, and I am hitting my shutdown temp of 60 degrees. Does anyone know if the DFI Ultra-D makes any alarm sound before shutting down from an user specified "overheat" temp. I have ran the Western Digital HDD test on both drives, and found no errors. The system is NOT overclocking at present, and was not overclocked when it crashed. My memory is running on auto right now (which I will change when I get home, cause I have read that this can cause problems) but it was not running on auto the first 2 times the system crashed. All my voltages are showing as well within spec when tested with a voltmeter. Any ideas or tips would be appreciated.
  7. Yes absolutely try from floppy or CD. If you have only corrupted the information and not wrecked the chip, you should be fine.
  8. I just got a new chipset cooler for my Ultra-D. My Northbridge Chipset was sticking around 44c-47c depending on load. Now my Chpset is 27c-32c depending on load. I am very happy. This is what I got. http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku...re=THERMALRIGHT I must admit, its a bit big, and takes up alot of space, but it does the job. I get the same temps at max chipset voltage.. oh, and I got some Arctic silver 5, and cleaned of my generic stuff. My CPU is now at 24c idle, and 38 full load @ 1.52 volts vcore. What a difference!!!
  9. Cut your mem divider more and try the 9x multi. Some setups seem to like it.. worth a shot anyways, but your proly maxing out already. Thats a great overclock....but I know..its always funner to get that elusive 3ghz
  10. Just dont burn your board out...even if you dont care about your CPU whats your overall vcore at now??
  11. Actually, its 450mhz for free, cause the sandy 3700 is a 2.2gb chip, but thanks! I guess Im just dissapointed cause the KAB2E stepping was holding a higher hope for me...but oh well. Let us know how you do with the 1.8chipset volts I can boot at 2.94, but wont even finish Pi run....
  12. Awesome..I paid $209 Canadian for mine...and Im happy too. That makes 2 happy people in one day...isnt that amazing.... I hope I can afford another 7900GS soon, then I will be very happy..hehe Good luck with your overclock...its looking good so far.. I ended up with a "dud" 3700 Sandiego, and I am stuck down at 2.65ghz..
  13. Nice looking power supply...wish Id waited a few weeks...hehe
  14. Anti' in 5 minutes jeez, vut da heck huppend..stupid cpyooz nut supst ta be smokin..wuts wrong wid 2.65volts vcore...stupid aaamd cpyooz..piece a gerbedge... only kidding Anti' just dont get to drunk, cause your never supposed to let the smoke outa those CPU's... :)
  15. TO get your full stepping, you will have to take your heatsink off your CPU and look. I am not aware of any programs that read the FULL steppings from AMD cpu's
