1. So I have been watching some youtube videos without crashes! What does this me as far as hardware acceleration goes for me? Do I not get hardware acceleration, or is there somthing I have to do now that I know what the problem is?
2. I tryed that and I was able to watch about 5 mins of video with out it crashing on me. I'll try watching more videos when I get home from work!
3. i have updated to the latest video drivers and that did not help. I use chrome browser and google has its own flash player built in so google updates that. i did try using IE and same thing. this is a fresh install of windows so i really dont think its a virus. and donkey porn is fun! lol I have to go to work so i wont be able to do anything for the rest of the day but i could still use ideas for tonight to try! Thanks for the replys!
4. The computer in my sign is having a problem with blue screening on me when ever i watch a youtube video! Thats the only thing that makes it blue screen that I know of. I ran prime95 for an hour and I had no problems, and memtest had no errors. Im not really sure as to what is making the computer crash and could use some insight!!! I have ran both video cards by them selfs. I dont know how to single out the problem!
5. Well your right sir! Lol I'm looking at getting 8gigs more.
6. I was just looking into RAMdisk today! But I was thinking of using it for my page file! I would then be able to give my OS 8gigs of ram and 8gigs of RAMdisk for page file!
7. thanks! So let me ask this, how do you flash a video card bios? I looking around on the web right now for a guide/video on how to to it!
8. Hey guys I have two 6850s in crossfire and have them overclocked. My speeds are 875 gpu and 1130 mem. One of my cards are an xfx " http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150515 " and the other is an msi "http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127566 ". My bios on the xfx locks my gpu at 875mhz and my msi card locks the gpu at 1100mhz. I was wounding if i could flash my xfx card with a different bios? Maybe the xfx 6850 black edition, or the same bios that is on my msi card. I would really like to try and get 950mhz out of both the gpu cores. I have never been brave enough to do somthing like this in the past so I have no clue as to how to do it, or even if I can do it! I could really use some input from you guys! If you need any more info from me please ask and i will get what you need to know. Thanks for any help you can give!
9. I have the same motherboard and CPU that your looking at. This is the ram i got for it. ---> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144 . It's a little more then the ram that you where looking at but it has 4gigs more and lower volts, plus with a small bump in the volts ".05v" I was able to take my timmings to 8-8-8-24 @ t1! I would attest look at it. I also got my CPU up to 3.6ghz on the stock cooler so I don't see why that cooler would not take your CPU up to 4ghz! Good luck and sorry about you house!
10. This card should work well for what you want to do! link ---> http://www.amazon.co.uk/SAPPHIRE-HD5670-GDDR5-Express-Graphic/dp/B0032W414E/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1298210417&sr=1-4 . Just so you know i have the same monitor as you and you will not be able to get full hd. ie 1080p the monitor has a max res of 1680x1050.
11. You need to turn on "ROUNDING ERROR" for it to tell you when there is an error.
12. I see that when i prime my x6, but i have also seen that with x4's and x2's. I would not think about it. If you start getting errors then you have a problem.
13. well i got one card and am looking at getting the seconed card with a new psu. i just dont want to spended money where i dont have too.
14. I am looking at setting up 2 xfx 6850s in crossfire, i have a 700w ocz powersupply with one 6 pin and one 6pin to 8 pin cable. will this give me the power i need for the two cards? second is the xfx 6850 does not come with a crossfire bridge, but i do have a bridge from my 4870. will the bridge from the 4870 work to crossfire the 6850s? i really would like to go with the xfx 6850 out of any other brand! any info you guys can give me would be awsome!
15. Well I just ran one pass of memtest with my timings at 8-8-8-24-t1 and it passed! should i be running any test in windows to test the stabilaty? if i run memtest overnight and get no errors will i be good to go? im happy with my ram running at 1600mhz but i would like to have the tightest timings that i can. any info you guys need let me know! thanks for all the help/feed back!
