But compare 970 to 1060, another good jump up. With support for new technologies, something like a 1060 or 470/480 may still be worth considering. Fight Game Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Fair enough - it's always worth what you're willing to pay, but I'd personally never spend $200 for a previous generation, smallest possible increase in performance. I'd save my money and get something that won't need to be upgraded again in 6 months. Unless I could find another of my same card for dirt cheap and do sli or crossfire.
