ivangela Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Hi all, Does anyone know why when I click a song to play in Itunes the program doesn't just continue down my list of songs in order rather than randomly skipping to a new song? Thanks
SpeedCrazy Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Do you have shuffle selected in the bottom right hand corner?
ivangela Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Do you have shuffle selected in the bottom right hand corner? Speed, I appreciate the attempt but that would be embarrassing. No it's not on shuffle and what's more it doesn't seem to randomly select a song, it keeps going to the same Killers song! Weird...and aggravating
SpeedCrazy Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Just checking. Are you playing in an album, the music folder, DJ, Genius, what function are you playing music through?
ivangela Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Just checking. Are you playing in an album, the music folder, DJ, Genius, what function are you playing music through? I am just going to my library and clicking a song. I expected it would then play the next song but alas, The Killers again...although now that I've repeated this cycle all morning, it doesn't go to that song every time only a lot. I had genius turned on and thought that was the culprit but after turning it off, it still did it! Do you think it might have something to do with the way I have my library sorted? Thanks for your help

ivangela Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 LOL...thanks anyway Speed, in case you're interested I figured it out! It was skipping to the next song that was checked, you know the little check box next to the name of the song. Not really sure what you use them for but that's what was happening. If a song in your library is not checked, it will not play that song.
ivangela Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 If a song in your library is not checked, it will not play that song. Yeah, I just figured that out. It never affected me b/c all my songs were checked. Then one day they weren't (not sure what I did) but that's when the trouble started. BTW for those that are interested in the keyboard shortcut to check and uncheck all songs, hold CTRL when checking/unchecking Took my some time to figure that out
