  1. I took my computer to my friends house. Ran intelburntest and furmark at the same time. Didnt' seem to be the PSU. I checked out my bios and some settings were off. My graphics card was running at x8 native. I switched it to a different slot and it went back to 16 and then switched it to the normal slot and it fixed itself to x16 there also. I adjusted a few other things and it seems to be back to normal thankfully!
  2. Alright guys so yesterday I was playing Skyrim on ultra graphics. No problems whatsoever. My power went out and it came back on and when it did so did my computer. But it was only for a second or so and then it went back off for a minute. Well when I went to play after that my games stutter. No matter what I play and no matter the graphics settings. A friend told me it's either my power supply or my graphics card that got shorted or are now bad. I have a GTX 570. When I run 3DMark Vantage it doesn't seem to have any issues at all though. What could be wrong?
  3. That motherboard is overkill for what you need. You would be good with an ASUS z68 pro board for nearly half the price.
  4. Awesome. It's settled then. And also I was wrong about the home edition. It is pro. I'm getting it for free through my college. Perks of being a computer programming major. Haha. I also downed my PSU to the model below the 1000 watt which is 800 watt.
  5. Haha well I guess for $70 I might as well get watercooling. haha. H60 sound good?
  6. A friend of mine suggested this one.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118091
  7. Thanks for all the links!!! The first one seems kinda dull though it doesn't matter to me as long as it performs. Which of these do you think has the best performance? What do you think about this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103057 I'm not really concerned with the speed as I have an SSD.
  8. Thanks for all the feedback guys. My original plan was to get two 560 TI's SLI but I like the 570 much better. As for the motherboard, i'm pretty dead set on getting it. I'll look for a "smaller" PSU. 1000 is a bit overkill. Can someone link me to a good cooler for about the same price? How's this for a PSU? Seems to have good reviews. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17-182-238&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2#scrollFullInfo

  10. I will use this to give to my little brother. He's using a 450w PSU and REALLY REALLY needs an upgrade. I'm ordering him an 2500k and a GTX 560 ti. He will be quite excited. Good luck to all those who enter.
  11. I dont recommend getting the asus maximus IV. You really dont need it for what you want to do. "Don't pay more for your motherboard than you do your processor."
  12. Oh man. It's always fun to open up that box of parts. Nice list you got. I thought of getting the i7 but I settled on the i5.
