Nemo Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Today's review covers a pair of case fans which use rubber isolator mounts to reduce fan noise due to vibration. red1776 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I walked in the house from micro center with four of these (the clear grey/white LED) and saw the review. These fans are great. They have a very focused flow and the smallest "dead spot' of any 120mm fan s I have used on top of being very quiet.
ccokeman Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 May have to look at them then. Any change in cooling performance over another fan type?
red1776 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 May have to look at them then. Any change in cooling performance over another fan type? actually yes. just for grins I replaced the two Xigmatek side panel GPU fans of identical CFM with these, and the GPU temps dropped 4c. the fan blade shape apparently focuses the air on these. They are as quiet as you will find as well. I second BP's warning about the blades...damn they sharp! going to want grilles on them if you put them in the kids rig.
