potatochobit Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I just ordered an R9 280x in the list it states it is dual graphics ready and works with APUs to give ultimate performance. but this may not be talking about hybrid crossfire? do they mean switching on and off to save energy when using the desktop? Waco Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Hybrid just allows you to run 2D mode on integrated and connect your monitor to your motherboard. It doesn't improve performance at all in 3D tasks, that's purely offloaded to your discrete card. Even when you mix integrated with a discrete card it's very rarely better than the dedicated card alone.
