Hi,
New to the forum and pretty excited to build a PC I can over clock! Once I get the system built, I will be looking to start playing with over clocking... this system will be used primarily for general stuff, some video editing... no games.
so,
1) first comes the processor...
Either the
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
or for $30.00 less, the
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
is there an advantage of one to the other?????
then
2) the Motherboard.... I have no idea which one has the BIOS that could be better for a "newbe" ????
then
3) RAM!!! for the purpose of over clocking, I am guessing I should get DDR3 but which of the 10 different manufacturers? and 6 meg, 8 meg or???
Thanks so much for your insights!
Randy
