i can confirm i am running at stock speeds and am still recieving the error... i'd like clarification on the following two points if possible: Im assuming if I download the two driver packs from the listed links above then I will be fine? is that right? pls pls let me know thanks in advance...

its intermittent....first started when I tried to play back films on VLC player and then just every now and then I get that same IRQ less than error..... I will try both sets of suggested drivers... Otherwise am I correct to assume vista installs the remaining drivers for you? Should I use driver cleaner? or simply just update the drivers? Hey guys, I have a DFI NF4 SLI DR skt 939 mobo and when I was running win xp sp2 all was fine... Since upgrading to vista, I keep getting the BSOD appear error = IRQ memory less than or equal to error... I did not install the mobo drivers, I still have the CD, as win vista found them automatically, was this qrong of me?? Please help me resolve this thanks in advance... cheers...

Are u using the same chip? on the same chip? sorry to have to ask but: a) you are using the bios right? B) you have loosened your mem timings when trying to find your max cpu overclock? c) what happens exactly when you start increasing in excrements of 5mhz and 10mhz? cant you get into windows?

welcome to this fantabulous world my friend key points to remember: a) just because your neighbour who has exactly the same setup hits 3ghz doesnt mean you will, each case differs B) good to backup everything on harddrive because after restarting several times etc etc you windows OS could corrupt c) have tons of patience, remember its trial n error d) concentrate on 1 component at a time for example a) cpu then B) Ram e) use software such as Prime95 to find out if your overclock is stable Good Luck and enjoy it

300 x 9 is the better one because when overclocking a cpu its about how far you can get the FSB for the cpu so that its stable.

praz is 100% correct whichever system you are using, make sure you always overclock using the BIOS... Otherwise expect errors and corruptions galore.. thanks

but you will be 1 core less...so even if it overclocks higher, you are still losing out, especially with the cache etc etc a opty 148 at lets say 3ghz is still slower and will not perform well as a lets say a x2 3800 at 2.8ghz or am I wrong?
