Yea I recently upgrade to SATA2 and most system info from software think it is ultra133. Does it affect performance?

Yea what exactly does the pci-e frequency do in the motherboard? I up it to 105, notice no difference, up it to 110 and it wont boot so I had to clear cmos.

Is x1800xt as good as 7900gt? What about the gto version?

I'm having trouble deciding between 7900gt or x1800xt. I'm leaning toward ATI now because it is cheaper but I wanna make sure x1800xt work with my mobo. What do you think?

Is that in canadian dollar? edit- it's not much better than 7900gt and $60 more expensive. How much fps difference is there between 7600gt and 7900gt? If it is like 10fps then I'll just go ahead and get the 7600gt. The x1800xt outperform the 7900gt in some review and less expensive should I go with that instead of the 7600gt. Does ati graphic card work on nvidia board?

Such an expensive processor and yet it is so fragile. Why dont they use steel or some hard metal? Also I need to know which one, should I get 7600 with the driver issue or x1800xto which some people say wont work on certain nvidia board. Edit: I orignially put on half a grain of rice, twisted the hsf after mount to get it spread even and get all the air bubble out. Then I got really dumb and lifted the hsf. At this point I thought I should put on more since I got in the air bubble. I hear there are people that can repair your cpu if the pin get broken. How good do they work? Edit Edit: Isn't 7800 worst in some game than 7600? I wish I could dig up $100 more so I could just get a 7900 since the 128 bit memory interface on 7600 will be obsolete soon.

It seems you guys know what you're doing. So I'll just ask you because I don't want to start another thread. My budget is around the same place. Should I get a 7600gt or something of ati? I heard 7600gt has driver problem and dont overclock well but ati might not work on a nvidia board. I'm getting crappy fps, around 30fps with 800x600 and dx7 and antiliasing x2. That is very bad considering I'm running a 6 series card and opty 170. Does it have anything to do with the bent pins?

I'm sorta afraid to touch the cpu because last time some pins got bend and it barely went in. So witht the sticky AS5 , it might just break this time when I pop it out. But I'll have to upgrade to WC eventually. It idle at 38c and full load is 53c , previously two months ago it idle at 29 c and full load is 48c. I'm still trying to puzzle out why this happen but I cant take it out and check on thermal paste because of the bent ping, unless I absolutely have to and then it will be a gamble. How much did that rig cost? I wont be cooling my graphic card because my it doesn't deserve the luxury. Also di you think my case would work? Most of the front is occupied for hd even though I only have two. Also buying a new case is absolutely not an option man, I can install various thing and oc but I can't tranfer everything over a whole new case. Plus the cost that would run me I rather spend it on something else since my case is still new.
