I have the same PSU and experienced an identical problem. And yeah...I bended the capacitor too before "modding" the plug with a kitchen knife Fortunately, everything is working fine. As for the "wire" you bought(did you get the one from ultra?), it has 20 pins on the PSU end and 24 pins on the other, right? Doesn't it make it an adaptor after all? Regards D.
