Thanks for the reply, I did hose the bios during all the attempts to revive. I found one of the Ballistix modules was bad even though it didn't show up in Memtest86. Will RMA dimm, this is the second one. Have one excellant dimm but can't seem to find it a buddy. Anyway I am up and running with Mushkin and Ballistix. Good Luck.

I was pushing too hard attempting to reach 260Mhz. Crashed and computer wouldn't boot. No problem, install 2X256 Mushkins and it boots right up. Put in one Ballistix(512mb) and she boots. Install both dimms(2X512) and get long low beeps and no boot. LEDS are on 1 & 2, using reset switch transfers LEDS to 3 and no boot. It will boot with 3 sticks of Mushkin, 2X256 and one 512 in dual channel. It will also boot in dual channel with one ballistix and the 512 Mushkin. It will boot with either Crucial stick in any slot. It will not boot with Both Ballistix sticks, dual or single. Both sticks bring the beeps and the LEDS. Any help would be appreciated.

Manual says testing all memory, cleared all extended memory to zero. Maybe shut down and reinstall memory?

Steve, sounds as though your fsb is set to 100 and with cpu multiplier at 12 would give you 1200. Reboot and go into bios and adjust fsb to 167, leave multiplier alone and set cpu voltage to 1.6v which is default. This should give you 2000mhz-3000+ Sempron. Hope this works for you.

Craftwise, sometimes my sistah becomes balky like yours is doing. I find that mine runs with 2X512mb dimms but that she is not overjoyed at it. What I have to do is make sure that bios is OK and switch out ram with a 256 dimm that I have. It boots right up and then I reinstall the 2X512 modules. May not work but it is worth a try.

240 fsb with Crucial Ballistix PC 3200, 2X512, 2.5 3 3 3 6, 2.8v, 20,000+ 3D Mark 2001 SE. 11/24/04 bios, only running 1 stick currently- memtest errors, RMA'd 1 Dimm to Crucial.

TMOD, great service and great chip. Computer up and running. We beat the 4 LED'S of death one more time. Thanks for the great product and the swift service. Bios working fine but have not reinstalled the Ballistix.

Anyone know where I can get a new bios chip for a DFI LP NFII ULTRA B?
