  1. I prefered the edit where you said you were curious. fancy giving it a go and letting me know?
  2. @game time Yes, no problem, would be HTT of 236 with an 11X multi, your ram would be well inside its speed rating. Better way would be to lower your multi to 10 and have a HTT of 260 you would get more out of your ram this way but it would be running just above its speed rating, quite likely with no problem
  3. im having to run them at 183, 2T :S Yeah I was thinking 2Gb,OCZ seems popular and havent heard anything bad about them, so it looks promising. OCZ gold or plat you reckon? Now i need to reserch high clock vs tight timings :@ I was thinking maybe 2gb Mushkin 4000xp black or G.Skill 2GB DDR HZ PC4000
  4. Hey, i'm looking to get some new ram, this stuff is annoying me. I'm seeing lots of contradicting evidence on what memory to get. ill be running around a 300 htt. What would you guys suggest? Cheers.
  5. cheers for your input, the thermalright looks promising kandoo, looked everywhere and looks like you cant get hold of it here in the uk yet if only there was a way to move the second pcie slot down a couple of spaces, something similar to a pcie riser.
  6. How are you guys cooling your Sli setups that have only one space between the cards? Im running zalman vf700s, top card gets hot because of poor airflow due to bottom card, bummed i couldnt use arctic cooling. Arctic coolings new accelero x1 looks promissing... if it'll fit.
  7. Dont worry Gir, i saw him do it. you can rest now.
  8. POST is power on self test the screen where either the lanparty logo shows or your system information shows when your computer is first turned on it will say at the bottom of the screen spess esc to enter boot menu and press del to endter setup here you need to press escape and choose boot from CD, windows will then copy instalation files to your hard drive then reboot, this time dont press escape and let the computer boot from the hard drive where windows instalation will continue. remember to set HD as primary boot device
  9. my corsair is also pretty good, OCZ is good stuff too. forgot to mention, get Tmods bios CD and update the bios on your DFI board first thing when you get it.
  10. I'm positive that if you are determined that you will get your system to work with a DFI board, ASUS would probably be easier but less fun better overclocking with a DFI too. You will not notice any diference between a SATAI(1.5Gb) and a SATAII (3Gb) with current drives ASPIRE X-NAVIGATOR case is ok, not sure about the PSU that will come with it. Good luck!
  11. set your hard drive as primary boot device, when POSTing press escape and choose to boot from CD and follow the instructions.
  12. single core 4000 is $334.00 an X2 3800 is $301.00 an X2 4200 is $364.00
  13. flashing your bios probably set usb keyboard support off, and im guessing you have a usb keyboard find a ps2/usb converter or a ps2 keyboard and your off.
