  1. I had this prob once I had to set the SATA mode to RAID (Genie Bios) and 'SATA or SCSI card Boot' to SATA Try this hope it works -BTW I DONT have a Raid Array but had no joy unless I set it as if I had!!!!
  2. I did come to the conclusion afterwards that probably water would be the only way to go if the windtunnel was a must to use. dunno if it could be modded any or they might bring out a new revision as most NF4 board are going along similar lines to the DFI. If I was gonna put in a fan at the top it would be blowing OUT. Anyway not gonna have the money till summer at least (gotta wait for my GSD to have some pups!!!!) so there maybe some more options then - I DO like that case though! Cheers for the advice! I agree with exRodie - case is lookin good as is - pitty you can't hid tube as I agree it does look better when u can't see it and still does the job!
  3. Cheers cjoe7 You got that case lookin DAMN FINE - Nice1!! Looks like it could be a squeeze gettin an xp-90 in there, looks like xp-120 definatly out- from your pics tho looks agood case for water cooling with the tunnel for mem/mosfets!!! Will look into this further, still my no 1 choie ATM. Thanks for the pics n help. BTW - you reckon I could put an exaust on the top - will be easiy enough t put one on side thru the window, say blowing down on chipset fan.
  4. You can get case on it's own - I never knew Enermax had a version out, myself. Prefer the look of the origional one too!
  5. I'm pretty sure the AL850 is on the 'karajan' module. Anyone else any more insight into this - I feel DFI could've used somthing better than the AL850 as many are still withdrawing from SS!!!
  6. Yeah - I forgot to say 'Yes Please' (4 the pics- just got up!!!) Do you reckon it would help any to drill holes for an exaust fan at the top maybe?? Or an inlet on the side blowing at the chipset area?? Would love to see some pics of this installed - how big is ya HSF??
  7. Cheers cjoe7 - just what I wanted to know - reckon I will go for this one. Dunno 'bout HSF was thinkin xp-90?? - any ideas
  8. As the Mobo sound on new DFI's is on a seperate 'Riser' card - would it possible to have a 'Higher End' card based on better Chip than RT-850??? This way, those that WANT decent sound 'Built In' could pay the extra bucks and those that dont - dont!! I dont have a board to look at but from the manual it looks possible. Is there not a newer/better RT chip than the RT-850 or would any make/model add-on be possible??
  9. Would like comments on those that already have DFI NF4 939 mobos (any of em!!). The wind-tunnel in this case looks like it will do a good job on the LP 939's 'HotBits', do you reckon the DFI design will fit OK as it looks like it was designed for P4 board but I could be wrong! (Wouldn'rt be the first time) I will probably be going for this case as long as there are no BIG issues with the tunnel fit!! Check it out here!!!
  10. Yeah the IF was VERY clear but you still makin no sense at all!! SLI = 2 cores brigded together using an SLI link so you NEVER going to get it with the one normal (ie NOT DUAL CORE) VC in any socket be it 1x 2x 8x 16x 20x 40x 2000x !!!! pretty sure you wont find ANY board that can do what your after
  11. I dont get where you're comming from mate!  Unless I'm missing out BIG TIME for SLI you need 2 cards anyway!?!?!?
  12. Thanks for relpies Oldfaht - NICE 1 that did the trick! Both sockets workin and windows is now pickin up the sound!! Thanks again my Dad is buzzin now!!!
  13. Cheers will try the above when i get back home! Would there be a 'center speaker and subwoofer connected to Mic' option with LAn Party having no shared ouputs (can't check till I get home). I shud ov thought of NVSWAP myself, but from memory I thought it was just for switching speakers! WIll check it out later
  14. I'm having trouble getting mic to work properly with windows (XP SP1 or 2) Using rear socket I get nothing at all! Using front (Mic2 via FRONTX) I can get the mic to output thru speakers but Windows just does not register anything: (Control Panel->Sounds And Audio Props.->Voice->Voice Recording->Test Hardware) or (Control Panel->Speech->Configur Mic) or (MSN->Tools->Audio Video Tuning Wizard) and (Dragon Nat. Speaking 7 Prefered-.Audio Setup) In NVMixer it is imposible to select Mic2-it just jumps back to Microphone - to get Mic2 selected I have to use Windows Mixer->Microphone->Advanced->Alternative Mic. and if I tick digitize I get no sound at all!!! NVMIXER INFO HARDWARE REV. ------ A2 AUDIO DRIVER VER. --- 4.42 (6.13.0442.30) MIXER VER. -------------- 1.00 (Build 444) Speaker Wizard Ver. -- 1.00 (Build 444) Direct X Ver. ------------ 9.0d (4.09.00.0904) C-Really!!! Any One any sugestions I have tried an older audio driver package but same problem DriverVer = 09/08/2003, 6.14.0362.6 SoundStorm = 1.00.00.0366 Is my mobo a duffer? but 2 me seems to be driver related?? I really need to get this sorted as my DAD has parkinsons an relies heavily on Dragon to use da PC.
