  1. Managed to increase fsb beyond 250 at a voltage far lower than before (0.75v to be precise) also my system temp seems to have reduced, even though ambient is the same! I cant explain why...I'm just grateful ! just ran 3D2001 ..previous best was 20180 ....check this :-) http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8041008
  2. Hi Hells, flashed your bios to my LPB and....what can I say.... THANK YOU :-))
  3. you can get Danger Den items in the uk http://www.over-clock.co.uk/ If you can lay your hands on a Cascade Waterblock manufactured by Little River in Australia, then you'll probably have one of the best blocks around! Regards ~Kelt~
  4. Okay guys, I've got a few spare bios chips around the place so i'm gonna try flashing using Winflash. I'll let you know how it goes.
  5. ty RGone, My problem has been resolved, the answer may help others though. I removed Bios Saviour, put the new 11/27 chip directly into the bios socket...and...it worked!!! So now I have to figure out what is wrong with this Brand new programmed Bios Saviour. ~Kelt~
  6. Update Ok, I've fitted a Bios Saviour, programmed to 11/27.Fitted a brand new bios chip, also programmed to 11/27. Removed the jumper on my single WD hard drive, and what do I get? 4 Led's on and not able to enter Bios. I've also tried another graphics card....same results any ideas guys? ~Kelt~
  7. Hi Flagg, I suggest you check out this link http://forums.pcper.com/printthread.php?t=319897 May answer a few of the questions you ask about hotflashing using a different motherboard. ~Kelt~
  8. Dude. the bottom line is :- 1)Get your bios chip to 11/27 2) before you insert the chip make sure Cmos is TOTALLY cleared ( ie J8 + remove battery + have 6 beers...ie ...leave it overnight) 3) Follow AG's flash bios advice 4) insert + pray your UK m8 ~Kelt~
  9. Hi Flagg, I must admit that you have me a bit confused. You say your board is a couple of weeks old? Well, all new boards (mine included) were shipped with the 11/27 bios version installed.I'm sure AG will confirm this. So, maybe you've given the board a problem trying to flash from 11/27 to 11/27, not sure, but hope you get it sorted. ~Kelt~
  10. Yep, tis no probs... Step 1 - Fire up the good board and get it to the point of being ready to flash bios. Step 2 - Remove bios from working board Step 3 - Insert dodgy bios chip Step 4 - Flash Step 5 - Remove bios chip Step 6 - Put original bios chip back again Step 7 - reboot Step 8 - Put the chip you have in yer hand back where it belongs! (advice given by Marci @ over-clock.co.uk) ~Kelt~
  11. Sorry guys , the board was working before, it was not a new install. I had succesfully flashed bios to 12/31 in the past and was flashing to 2/17. Could it be possible that I have corrupted bios? I can get the chip hotflashed if you think that is the problem. Even with these minor problems, I still think this is the best board i've owned! Thanks ~Kelt
  12. I put another BIOS chip in, got 4 led's on now, but still no post into BIOS, removed CD and DVD drives...still no post ~Kelt~
  13. When I power up my system, it refuses to post. LED's 1&2 are on and #3 just keeps fickering on and off. While this is happening it appears to be checking my CD and DVD drives. Any advice would be appreciated. ~Kelt~
