Raife Posted June 18, 2002 Posted June 18, 2002 Hola, I am on the hunt for the best memory for the money (aren't we all) and am having trouble trying to figure out what to get. Really working to get CL2, but have only a couple of choices. Shooting for 512MB of RAM. Hopeing to keep cost under $150. Here are the contenders: Kingmax - 2 * 256MB Cas 2.5 = $120 Samsung - 2 * 256MB Cas 2.5 = $100 Corsair - 2 * 256MB Cas 2 = $120 Muskin - 1 * 512 Cas 2.5 = $160 (except it says Compatabiltiy Tests Pending) Xtreme - 2 * 256 cas 2 = $175 OCZ - 1 @ 512 cas 2 = $160 (are these good memory boards - media on homepage is great - but what do you expect) Is 512mb need or should I shoot for less and get better memory. I have a Shuttle AK31A - 4 Dimm slots (if I'm going to use all 4 the memory needs to be registered. In the dark here and any assistance would be much appreciated. Bosco Posted June 18, 2002 Posted June 18, 2002 Some Of the Scores on the OCZ are really good. Everyone has a different opinon on what they like and what is good and what isn't. My best suggestion to you is look around the web for memory benchmarks and see the difference to determine what you like.
