Guest Joalaielna Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Your talking about the chipset fan? if so, i believe you could pull it off. remove the thermal pad under it. Apply AS5 and reinstall the Fan. For most people this lowered temps and thus the cpu fan slowed down. Or you could by a fan controller and slow it down manually. I would suggest the first rather than the latter. One more thing. Your mobo is at 49c and that is what mine is at and i can barly hear it! Huh? 3 Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 I think that is hot for the CPU, but for the VGA, it is normal to be that hot. My 6800GT sometimes hits 71C full load.
garybig Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 do u have health in ur bios if you do. then you can adjust what temp ur fan turns on full. but having said that beware if ur temps really that hot probly thermal contact. dont be misled obout the amount of thermal stuff u apply just a little may not be enough.
