Groo21 Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 I'm having trouble with my mouse intermittently stuttering (stopping and not being able to be controlled for a second or so). It's a USB Microsoft intellimouse. I also get the "device unconnected - device reconnected " sounds from the OS (like the default sounds you get when you connect any USB device). The mouse works fine with my old system. I have the Vsb jumpers set on all of my USB ports. Any ideas on what could be causing the stuttering & disconnect/reconnect action? Help please! Groo21 Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 I should note that I cannot seem to narrow the problem down to any particular activity. Often it happens when I'm simply sitting on the desktop with no apps running. Suddently the mouse will stop for a second or two and I'll hear the disconnect/reconnect sound. It is very odd. Perhaps I'll try a USB to PS2 converter and see if the problem persists. Anyone else seeing a similar issue?

Groo21 Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 I haven't seen the problem return since I started using the USB to PS2 dongle...
