Guest AnthraX Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Arg, this is driving me insane! I just got: DFi Lanparty UT Ultra-D AMD athlon 3500 64bit (Winchester) 2x OCZ PC3200 512MB 2-3-2-5 (In slot 1 and 3) OCZ Modstream 520W MSI 6600GT Seagate 200GB When I plug the power cord from the wall sokcet to the PSU the DRAM led turns on and the Stand By led. And when i press the power button 4 red leds blink for a second and nothing happens, and it just hangs like that. Everything is connected correctly (I think). I tried to look it up the manual for the DFI but that doesn't tell me anything Does anyone know what's wrong? EDIT: Pictures:
mucker Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 There are 2 more power connectors on the board that need to be plugged in. See manual for location. You may have to use your floppy power connector as the board requires one. If you plan to use a floppy, you'll need 2 floppy power connectors. You can get one here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...6772627278&rd=1 You may want to try using slots 2+4 for ram also. m
Guest AnthraX Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Are both connectors necessary(Floppy and Molex)? I plugged the Molex one in and nothing happened
mucker Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Yes all of them are necessary. It could be your ram though. I just noticed you may want to try slots 2+4. What bios are you using?

mucker Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 It's more than likely 1/25. I would suggest using one stick of ram in the orange slot farthest away from the CPU, all 4 power connectors, boot, add your second stick, and then flash the bios to 3/10 or the new 510 beta. Guest AnthraX Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Connected both the power cables and nothing happened  I tried the orange slot (nr 2, right?) but the same thing happens. Could it be some short circuit that isn't allowing the rig to boot? And every voltage and stuff like that is at default. I got some Jumper thingies with the mobo, are those extra/spare or should they go somewhere?
