Capt Proton Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 I've noticed that the sequential read speed graph is very different on my rig than others. It starts off very low, 40mbs, and then climbs. Most others seem to start out high and the line is much smoother. Anyone have any insight on this for me? I'd insert a screen shot, but I don't know how. Maybe someone could tech me this. Vista Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 What did you use for your stripe and cluster size when you set up the RAID and formatted the drives? I've seen these exact results before. Sounds like you have your drive installed backwards. You'll need to remove the drive and turn it 180 degrees then reinstall it in the case. If that doesn't fix it, they probably put the label on wrong. Really, I saw this guy on another forum with the same setup so it must be true.
