Covert_operatoR Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Howdy fellows, was wondering if the nb-1c will fit on the ut250gb video card shouldnt be a problem, just making sure theres nothing on the motherboard that will get in the way. GuruJ Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 I checked their website yesterday for myself (bought the zalman instead) . Yes it will work. Namaste, GuruJ
Covert_operatoR Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 sweet. the zalman just doesnt cut it for me, my best chipset solution has been a full copper chipset heatsink with a blower fan attached to the side of it.. but its just not a permenant solution (looks butt ugly too)
GuruJ Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I am using the half copper half aluminum. The copper part is what is in contact with the hottest part of the chip. The copper extends all the out to the fins. I was going to use the all copper but it is heavier then the board reccomends, more $$$, and reviews show only 1-2c better. Its wierd but my idle temp is the same and my load is much cooler. It is also so quiet that if the lights weren't on i wouldn't know it was on. Plus is is so big and freaky looking that it scares smal children and wives. I tried the Jet blower once and it sucked. (That was a pun.) Really I hated it as it made my 2500+ Barton warmer then the stock heatsick. Best of luck, GuruJ
