Unable To Browse Internet

Hi All

Problem started when I installed network card in the puter I was going to use as server. Both puters are p4 - 1.7 - 256 ram, I am using a crossover cable and had the same set up with 2 other puters with no problems.

 

The new server has been running with the modem on-line with no problems. I installed the network card, let XP find the drivers and it installed ok. I then prepared to install my network, went on-line but was not able to go anywhere. I continued doing my network set-up and all was ok, I could ping back and forth from each no problem but could not browse the net.

 

I then tried reversing the client/server puting the modem in the puter I was using as client and set it up to be the server. I can get on-line and browse from it ping back and forth and change files but still cannot get the original one to go on-line as client or server.

 

Anyone have any ideas I've exhausted about all the help files I can find on this problem but no luck.
