i want to build a new pc that is good for bf2 cs cod4 and many other fps anyone got any good ideas?

sorry i sold my pc about 3 weeks ago and i cant remember the exact specs. i got 500 dollars in my pockets today maybe willing to spend more just wanting a new cheap build thats good for fps

Well if you sold your entire PC I doubt you can build something capable of running COD4 with $500. You can start with a CPU, GPU and PSU though for that amount.

 

 

AMD Athlon X2 4800+ (2.5Ghz 89W Brisbane 2 x 512KB L2) = $85

BIOSTAR TF560 AM2+ = $80

Crucial Ballistix 2Gb (2x1Gb) DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 = $50

Gecube HD 3850 256Mb = $165

Samsung 20X DVDRW/DL = $28

Antec Earthwatts 380W = $20

Case of your choice = $50

 

This can get you something around $500.

Does that mean you need a monitor as well?

 

If you're looking for a super-cheapo gaming system, Tom's Hardware had an article on one a few weeks ago and they even overclocked it a bit.

 

CPU - Intel E2160

HD - 250gig Seagate

Case - Antec NSK4480B (with 380W Power Supply)

hahah no i have like three monitors for some odd reason so i still got 2 more that work
