Guest stereogames Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Hi. I recently built a rig. It is an xfx 680i mobo , dual core 2.20 processor, 3 gb ram , 8500GT. I was recently messing in BOIS trying to oc it to 2.4 ghtz, and it worked. I got bored and decided to take out a cpu fan i put in inncorrectly and put it in correctly. When trying to overclock to 2.8, it wouldn't give me any video and i would have to reset bios by removing the bios setting battery for a bit. Now, after reinstalling my cpu fan, it cuts off when the battery is in, and when it is out i get no video. What could be the problem? Btw the cpu fan was the Thermaltake Ruby Orb. sYstEmATiC Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 there should be a fan control option somewhere in the status or pc heath section (voltage readings and such) and by default i think its set to only spin up after it gets to a certain temp. you should be able to change those settings to 100% rpm or whatever you want.
