jchurchwell Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I'm building a system with 2x36Gig Raptors and 1x WD 320Gig 7200. I wanted to put the raptors in Raid 0 for gaming and use the 320Gig for music, pics, etc. All drives are SATA and my MB (MSI P7N Diamond) supports 6 SATA ports and RAID. Can I do this? If so, which drive/s should I make C and D and which should I install OS (Vista Home Premium 64)????? If anyone can help me with these questions I would really appreciate it. Thanks, jchurchwell
Nemo Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I would suggest loading the OS on the two Raptors in RAID 0 - this would become drive C: by default. The the 320GB drive can be assigned any drive letter you wish after the OS is installed.
kingdingeling Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I'd put the Raptors in RAID-0, load the OS onto them and use the 320GB drive for all your other needs
