p8baller07 Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 (edited) Ive had ths problem forever, and finally i just figured it out, im posting this so its more accessable to the users of the alighty internets. If your windows vista will not detect or will not install USB Mass Storage drivers or any other USB drivers from any device. Here is the solution. Go to C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository Find the folders called "usbstor" They'll have a bunch of characters after this, like usbstor6b.blahblahblah You'll probably have two, pick the most recent folder. Once inside that folder you'll see two key files you need, usbstor.pnf and usbstor.inf Copy both and paste them into C:\Windows\inf From there once you hook up the USB device, if it doesnt automatically detect the drivers this time. Select "use drivers from a specific location" and point it to the windows/inf folder. http://teknobabble.wordpress.com/2007/08/1...der-a-solution/ My source. Cheers.
