Very nice! e6750 (currently at 3.1 at stock volts, just to break it in) DFI blood Iron board Geil pc26400 (800) ram 2x1GB with the bus currently at 388 and the rated FSB at 1553 (I guess the numbers are acedemic at this point since they will change.... What dividers or numbers are you guys running on your RAM.... I don't know what to expect yet.... My brain is still in A64 land which is a bit different Currently the RAM is at 466 do you keep your 800 ram around 400, or do you go bonzai with the DRAM frequency as well......? n00bie question, I know.... help an old man out.... and I searched and found much about the FSB and stuff, but not much about the RAM frequency..... gotdamojo06 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 personally I start off with a 1:1 ratio and keep it like that until I get problems with the ram and adjust it as needed right now I have my ram at 870MHz with a 1:1 ratio the CPU multi is 9x with the bus speed of 435...if that helps you out any im glad Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
kingdingeling Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 There's one thing I learned from the overclocking FAQ, which is the following: Put your RAM on a ridiulous divider to find the absolute maximum CPU frequency, then put your RAM on a raher high divider and find the maximum frequency it runs stable at. Makaveli Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I have 3 different things to test on memory. 1. Test how far on stock volts and timings you can push it 2. Test how tight you can get the timings without changing volts or mhz 3. Loosen timings and let it rip! lol Does the stuff you have run at 1T?
