rushgunner Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 (edited) I currently have 2 300gb hard drives in raid-0 for a backup. Can i take those 2 drives and use them in my new computer, using the existing array without losing anything?? GuJuMaN89 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 i dont think so because it has to have the same raid controller. and i think u mean RAID-0 not radio

GuJuMaN89 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 it still needs the same raid controller. do they have the same ones?
Kash Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Then that would be a no as the RAID controllers are not the same on the two boards (different chipsets). You're gonna have to backup your stuff and then recreate the array on the new motherboard. The only exception to this would be if you used the secondary RAID controller on the DFI board and the eVGA happens to have the same secondary controller.
