Issues With Amd 3800+ Venice Cpu!

a 2T command rate is hindering you for one thing. Change it to 1T, check on the driver updates, check and disable "cpu throttling", and then see if your peformance changes any.

I will change the command rate, but first I'm trying to dl some trial versions of benchmark sw. As for the cpu throttling I could not find anything like that, am I missing something there? All drivers are up-to-date and I also flash the bios, I'm getting slow boot times and haven't had a chance to run any games just yet. B:)

Ok Ive done each of these one at a time and had luck with two out of three. When I changed the command rate from 2T to 1T, exit and saved changes, then BAM nothing LOL! I had to clear the CMOS start and re-set everything in the bios. Anyway a couple of bm's for review and please give me just an ounce of positive feedback......

4 x 512 MB @ pc2700 speed and 2T... i'd take two sticks out and run at 2 x 512MB @ PC3200 and 1T...

you should be able to run 4x 512MB @ PC3200, 2T but maybe with some more voltage... maybe even 1T with some extra convincing...

you are severly underclocking your ram

exactly! As I said to begin with the ram is a huge bottleneck here.

Sorry, but I'm a little confused, where you said 4x512mb@PC2700 and 2T, where did you get the pc2700 from? I did take two sticks of ram out and tried changing from 2T to 1T and I got the same results from all four sticks, which was nothing I have to reset everything and try something else!:blink::(
