Nerm Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 a 2T command rate is hindering you for one thing. Change it to 1T, check on the driver updates, check and disable "cpu throttling", and then see if your peformance changes any. As for the cpu throttling I could not find anything like that, am I missing something there? All drivers are up-to-date and I also flash the bios, I'm getting slow boot times and haven't had a chance to run any games just yet. Kash Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 AMD's name for the thermal throttling feature is Cool 'n Quiet. So if you disabled that, then you disabled thermal throttling.

When I changed the command rate from 2T to 1T, exit and saved changes, then BAM nothing LOL! I had to clear the CMOS start and re-set everything in the bios. Anyway a couple of bm's for review and please give me just an ounce of positive feedback...... 9906 3DMark03..... swifty11212 Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 1T command is one of the most effective settings for a A64, either your ram cant handle it or the chipset. weaken your ram and try 1T and see what happens.

bgnatewv2 Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 So I should just take two sticks out or try and get a little more voltage on all 4 sticks???? I'm glad to see someone finds this little ordeal just as funny as I do. I love this @%#&!!LOL B:)

As I said to begin with the ram is a huge bottleneck here.
LK71 Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 I think maybe you could unplug everything, hook up the intel and take the AMD into the kitchen, put it in the sink and turn on the garbage disposal. LOL

I did take two sticks of ram out and tried changing from 2T to 1T and I got the same results from all four sticks, which was nothing I have to reset everything and try something else!
